Upper Body Stretching

Upper body stretching is a great way to strengthen the muscles around the chest and lungs, for increased lung capacity. Hunched-over shoulders will decrease oxygen consumption, so doing these stretches with ensure a nice open and strong chest.

Butterfly weights

Lay with your upper back on an exercise ball and your legs square to the floor.
Hold one weight (2-6kg) in each hand.

Pec Stretch

Lean against a doorway with your arm at a 90 degree angle to your body. Push foward with your arm, whilst turning your head the other way. Hold for 30 seconds, and repeat twice.

Overhead Shoulder Stretch

Place your arm behind your head and push down on your elbow with your other arm. Hold for 15 seconds and repeat 3-4 times.
